SSW Exodus (2018)

(The show starts up with a sky view of Saitama, Japan with the date 3.31.18 on the screen before we are shown highlights of the past SSW events. In the darkness, we see a familiar face in SSW Founder and Chairman Brian Daniels walking through the empty Saitama Super Arena.)

Brian Daniels: A wrestling revolution… born in the heart of one of the most famed styles of wrestling in the world… a vision that I created is resurrected tonight!

(Scenes of the excited Japanese crowd are shown with Khmaoch Sângkât and Masanori Kawada’s battle for the SSW Heritage Championship from one of the first events. The highlights end with SSW COO Jacob Senn appearing on the screen walking through the arena himself.)

Jacob Senn: A spark that will light the fire of every soul that stands behind it. A fire that will engulf the entire wrestling world with their passion!

(BANG being crowned the first-ever SSW Junior Heavyweight Champion against Vanessa Santiago and Jaydayne Pendragon is showcased. A highlight of the tensions between BANG and Andre Virgo of Tres Comas Club is shown with Brian Daniels entering the ring that has been placed in the empty arena.)

Brian Daniels: The spark of passion, the fires of revolution, it was almost quelled by the greed of others. The desire to control the entire wrestling landscape to bend under their will, but we were the ones that wouldn’t have our voices be silenced.

(The announcement of Strong Style Wrestling being shut down due to legal issues is highlighted with the disappointment of many heard around the world. However, the disappointment quickly changed to excitement at the announcement of the return event being made! Jacob Senn is also shown entering the ring that has been set up inside the Saitama Super Arena!)

Jacob Senn: Now… the fire has returned stronger than ever! An exodus of talent has arrived into The Land of Rising Sun with the full intention of create another name for themselves, building their already impressive resumes, and being known as the best in the world. A place where the only thing that will rise to the top will be the top of the promotion and nothing else!

(The announced signings of people like CM Nas, Tarah Nova, Aria Jaxon, and more are highlighted to bring light to this. A multitude of talent being signed onto the SSW roster before the founder of SSW and the COO of SSW meet face-to-face in the ring, Brian Daniels and Jacob Senn, before they both turn to the face the camera.)

Brian Daniels: This company has been on the quest of bringing the best wrestling on the planet, to bring the best fights that you can be left in awe with, and to bring you the moments that you will leave never forgetting to have watched. This is the place where it all happens as it becomes reborn… tonight.

(More highlights from the past events are shown to the crowd before the camera pans out to where a nice graphic of the title has been revealed as both men look up to the titantron to view it.)

Brian Daniels and Jacob Senn: This is Strong Style Wrestling… and this night… it is our EXODUS!!!

(The video ends with a determined look from both men as the show goes inside of the arena with the ring being showcased with The Saitama crowd clapping about the start of the show before going into a hush. The lights dim and the spotlight is on the ring announcer standing in the ring, ready to introduce the next contest, as the titantrons start to showcase the match graphic.)

Ring Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall… AND IS TO CROWN THE FIRST-EVER SSW FREEBIRD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!! (The “Tres Comas Club” stinger preludes “Money, Power, Fame” by ContRoVersy as Racer Smiles and Chase Vedder make their way down to the ring with little to no fanfare on their part. The crowd return in kind as very few of them extends their hands as the two make their way down the ramp. Chase is paying absolutely no attention to the crowd as he is occupied with his mobile phone, even causing some boos from the otherwise respectful Japanese crowd.) Mark Stephens: By the end of tonight, we are guaranteed to have two new champions. The first will be determined right here and right now! The Tres Comas Club has signed a few new acquisitions to the group to replace the ones that left during the hiatus and, I have to admit, these two men look to be promising. Daniel Wilson: And I am sure they know that and will tell anyone within earshot. One is a powerlifting champion and the other… well, he calls himself “the man”. Lackadaisical, devil may care attitude aside; the Tres Comas Club doesn’t just acquire anybody. The look for the best and in these two? I could see it. (Racer Smiles is the first to make his way into the ring, the ring announcer introducing him as he steps through the ropes.) Ring Announcer: Introducing first! Representing Tres Comas Club! From Montreal, Quebec, Canada, weighing in tonight at 215 pounds! The Chief!!! RAAAAAACEEEEER!!! SMIIIIIIIIIILES!!! (Racer grabs the neck of his tank top and pulls to tear the fabric right down the front, pulling off the remains and tossing it aside as Chase Vedder enters the ring, hesitantly handing a ringside attendant his phone.) Ring Announcer: His tag team partner! From Southbend, Indiana, weighing in tonight at 221 pounds! The Man! CHAAAAASE!!! VEEEDDEEEER!!! (Chase simply removes his leather jacket with a grin on his face, handing it to a ringside attendant and joins Racer in their corner, exchanging a bumping of the fists as “Power, Money, Fame” and the Tres Comas Club lights die down. The eerie introduction to “Big Bad Wolf” by In This Moment begins to play as the titantron simply reads “Arukushi”. Following the scream of “Even in these chains, you can’t stop me!”, the words morph into the words “Tarah Nova” and the Saitama crowd comes alive as Piero makes his way out of the curtain first, steel chair in hand. He excitedly gestures towards the curtain as Tarah Nova herself emerges with barbwire baseball bat in hand, visually overwhelmed by the reception she is receiving.) Daniel Wilson: A warm and well-deserved welcome for one of the most influential female athletes in all of professional wrestling! One of the leading figures that have brought a number of people from the United States over here to Japan and, as the rumors have seemingly become true, the new leader of the ragtag army, Ronin! Mark Stephens: And what an opportunity to have on your first night as the faction leader. A chance to bring the Freebird Tag Team Championships to the fold. Of course, her partner is the, well for the want of a better word, the lovable loser of the faction. Hasn’t found the key to earn a single victory in his long career but tonight, perhaps the right leadership can bring gold to his resume. (Piero slides into the ring as Tarah Nova circles the ring, slapping hands of the outreaching crowd as Piero takes a large swig of water from a bottle.) Ring Announcer: Introducing their opponents! First, from Tokyo, Japan, weighing in tonight at 220 pounds! Torikkusuta!!! PIERO!!! (Piero spits his mouthful of water into the air and backs away from Chase Vedder and Racer Smiles into the safety of his corner as Tarah Nova enters the ring.) Ring Announcer: And his partner! From Detroit, Michigan, weighing in tonight at 121 pounds! She is Walking Death!!! TARAAAAAAAH!!! NOOOOOOVAAAAAAA!!! (Streamers of purple and black fill the ring, showering Tarah Nova as she raises the bat into the air. In the midst of the visually obscuring streamers, Vedder and Smiles charge towards and kick Piero in the stomach, raining fists into his back before kicking him out of the ring. The referee calls for the bell.) (DING! DING! DING!) Daniel Wilson: So caught up in the admiration of this crowd, Tarah has only now realised that the Tres Comas Club team have kicked this match off with a blind-sighted attack on Piero! Smiles and Vedder approach Tarah now, and they are seemingly not taking the Hall of Famer seriously... what are they doing? Are they asking her for a kiss on the cheek?! How insulting! So they even know who this woman is?! Mark Stephens: Tarah sure doesn't look amused with this condescending gesture and instead fires a pair of forearms into the chins of both men! Off the ropes, she goes, looking for a big strike! But Vedder and Smiles hit a double back elbow attack to knock Nova onto her back! The crowd become very vocal in their displeasure as Racer Smiles lifts Tarah to her feet, restraining her arms as Chase Vedder has a smug look on his face, grabbing Tarah by the chin. Daniel Wilson: I have to agree with this crowd. This sleazy approach by Vedder is getting uncomfortable, especially with Racer rendering her defenceless. Tarah not going down without a fight though! Spitting right in the face of Vedder! Vedder wipes the spit off his face, looking very annoyed AND CHOPS TARAH RIGHT ON THE CHEST WITH THE SOUND OF A CRACKING WHIP! Mark Stephens: Tarah falls to her knees and sharply breathing through her teeth from that vicious knife edge chop as Racer decides to finally get on the apron and allow Vedder to be the legal man. Vedder is mouthing off to Tarah as he kicks her repeatedly in the head, only causing more of an uproar from the crowd. Tarah is slowly getting to her feet and man, does she look pissed! Daniel Wilson: The blatant disrespect from her opponents seemingly firing her up as she gets to her feet and comes face to face with Chase Vedder. Chase kicks Tarah Nova right in the stomach, keeling her over as he grabs her arm to Irish whip her into the Tres Comas Club corner. But Tarah digs her feet into the canvas, fighting against it! She counters and whips Chase into the Ronin corner AND HITS THE HYPERNOVA! THE SHINING WIZARD IN THE CORNER! Mark Stephens: A quick and impactful turn of events from Tarah, with Piero getting up onto the apron to accept the tag from his partner. Tarah pulls Chase up to his feet, only to drill him down to the mat with the Spinning headlock elbow drop. Piero runs out from the corner with a big running senton into the chest of Vedder and immediately hooks the leg for a cover! Referee: ONE!!! ... TWO! Mark Stephens: Shoulder off the mat just before the two! The Ronin team with some nice teamwork in the early goings despite the early attack. Piero now, looking for the snap suplex on Chase, but Chase is resisting it. Piero is quick to give up on the suplex attempt, drilling both his fists into the back of Vedder with a double axe handle, dropping him down to a knee. Piero bouncing off the ropes for a shoulder tackle! BUT VEDDER LEAPS TO HIS FEET AND CATCHES PIERO WITH A VICIOUS FLAPJACK INTO THE ROPES! Daniel Wilson: Piero's neck caught right on that rope and he is on the floor, clutching his throat and going red in the face! That just looked nasty! Resiliency on display from Chase as he makes the tag to Racer Smiles. Looking for a combination it seems as Racer stands in the corner as Chase lifts Piero up and drops him stomach first into the mat with a gordbuster. Racer following up, squatting over Piero with his arms around his waist. AND WHAT STRENGTH! Deadlifting Piero off the mat with a big deadlift release German Suplex! Mark Stephens: And it didn't seem to be a struggle at all for him, which is very impressive, and an effective tag team combination to boot! Racer goes for the quick cover! Referee: ONE!!!... TWO!!!... Mark Stephens: Still some fight left in Piero as he kicks out at two! Racer doesn't seem too bothered by it, quickly pulling him up to his feet and hooking his arm over his shoulder. Vertical Suplex? He's got Piero up, stalling with this suplex. To add insult to injury, doing a squat as he does it! His butt almost touched the mat before standing back up and delivering the suplex! Incredible strength on display from Racer! Daniel Wilson: Tarah in the corner trying to rally her partner to fight back but the Tres Comas Club team are in complete control! Racer tosses Piero into their corner before making the tag back to Chase. Hooking and lifting Piero up with a Uranage INTO THE KNEE OF CHASE! A DOUBLE TEAM ROAD SPIKE! AND PIERO IS HURT! Mark Stephens: Vedder and Smiles know it, and they are looking to finish this! Chase pulls Piero to his feet by the roots of his head and shoves him backwards into Racer, lifting him up into the electric chair… GOING FOR THE FACEBUSTER! Daniel Wilson: Piero with whatever wherewithal he has left rakes the eyes of Racer, forcing him to drop him! Piero may have buckled his knee a little as he quickly crawls for the tag of a fired up Tarah Nova! BUT CHASE QUICKLY RUNS IN AND DROPKICKS TARAH IN THE KNEE, DROPPING HER FACE ONTO THE APRON! AND THEN A LOW DROPKICK TO THE HEAD OF PIERO! Mark Stephens: Trying to prevent Tarah from getting involved with all the damage they've done to Piero, a smart strategy in play by Vedder. Pulling the near lifeless body of Piero up to his knees, ONLY TO SPIKE HIM WITH A SNAP DDT! COVER! Referee: ONE!!!...TWO!!!...THREE! Mark Stephens: Tarah Nova with the save! Out of nowhere, jumping into the ring to break up the cover! Racer is quick to jump in himself and forcefully remove Tarah from the ring as Vedder pulls Piero up again! Referee trying to remove Racer from the ring as Vedder is looking for that Inverted Snapmare Driver! BRAIN TRAUMA!!! Daniel Wilson: NO! A SWIFT LOW BLOW BY PIERO!!! KICKING HIS LEG BACK AND HITTING VEDDER LOW AS BOTH MEN FALL TO THEIR KNEES! REFEREE DIDN'T SEE IT AND PIERO IS ONCE AGAIN CRAWLING TOWARDS TARAH! ... AND HE MAKES THE TAG!!! Mark Stephens: AND SHE'S A HOUSE OF FIRE, SPRINTING TOWARDS RACER AND NAILING HIM WITH THE RUNNING T-SPIKE ENZUGIRI TO KNOCK HIM OFF THE APRON! Off the ropes! And a Slingblade to the recovering Chase Vedder! Hooks the leg! Referee: ONE!!!...TWO!!!...THREE!! Daniel Wilson: Racer breaks up the cover, saving the match for the Tres Comas Club! That was a close call! Racer getting hasty and looks to try and finish Tarah out himself! HOISTING HER UP WITH THE ELECTRIC CHAIR! SECOND TIME'S THE CHARM!? Mark Stephens: NO! TARAH SLIPS BEHIND, HOOKS THE ARM AND SPINS HIM AROUND AND SLAPS HIM HARD ACROSS THE FACE! KILLJOY BUZZER KNOCKS RACERS LIGHTS OUT COMPLETELY! Daniel Wilson: Tarah cleaning house and screams at the top of her lungs! The crowd in chants of TAR-RAH! NO! VA! as she stalks Racer, waiting for him to get to his feet! MIDWESTERN LARIAT! CHASE WITH THE LARIAT TO THE BACK OF TARAHS HEAD! Racer rolls to the outside to recover as Chase tries to cover Tarah! Referee: ONE!!!...TWO!!!...THREE!! Mark Stephens: KICK OUT JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME! Vedder is slamming his hands into the mat in frustration! He gets to his feet and drags his thumb across his throat, calling for the killing blow! What's he looking fo-- Daniel Wilson: Hold up, Mark! What is going on outside the ring? A rouge turnbuckle pad just hit Racer in the face!? Where'd that come from?! Racer looks just as confused, and the referee has noticed it has gone missing from a neutral corner. All he sees is Racer holding a turnbuckle pad that has been removed and is scolding him! He thinks Racer removed the pad and is demanding that he puts it back! Mark Stephens: Racer is dumbfounded but Chase has the crosshairs solely on Tarah Nova as he hooks her! NORTHERN LIGHT BOMB; LETHAL WEAPON!!!! Daniel Wilson: LOW BLOW! PIERO WITH A LOW BLOW! THE REFEREE AND RACER ARE NONE THE WISER! PIERO JUST PLAYED TRES COMAS CLUB AND THE REFEREE LIKE A FIDDLE! Chase is keeled over in pain! AND TARAH DRILLS HER FOOT INTO THE BACK OF HIS NECK AND FACE FIRST INTO THE CANVAS!!! RUDE AWAKENING!!! Mark Stephens: Piero quickly slides outside to restrain Racer as Tarah goes for the cover, referee sliding into position! Referee: ONE!!!...TWO!!!...THREEEEE!!! (DING! DING! DING!) ("Big Bad Wolf" by In This Moment hits the PA as Piero starts celebrating outside the ring, Tarah getting to her feet as the referee raises her hand.) Ring Announcer: Here are your winners AND THE FIRST-EVER SSW FREEBIRD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS… TARAH NOVA AND PIERO -- ROOOOONNNNNNIIIIIINNNNNNNNN!!! Daniel Wilson: What a bloody match! And a well-deserved victory for Ronin! Piero might have just pulled the heist of the century, and Tarah Nova sealed the deal for the team. The unlikeliest team somehow walk away the victors! Mark Stephens: A great showing by Tres Comas Club tonight, it might not have been their night of celebration but I am sure they'll be back and better than ever when it's their chance at a second shot! If this is what we can expect in future Tag Team Championship matches and the new, revitalised Ronin, they are going to be a force to be reckoned with. (With an icepack on his face, Chase is being helped through the crowd by Racer as Piero is celebrating like he won the Superbowl with both championships in hand as Tarah follows him up the ramp, slapping extended hands before they both slip behind the curtain.)

(The cameras pan across the entire Saitama Super Arena before the titantrons display the next contest to take place with the match graphic.)

(“Make Me Feel” by Janelle Monae hits to a huge pop from the crowd as André Virgo slowly walks out to the stage, dancing along to his music as he makes his way to the ring.) Wilson: This might be the most anticipated match-up of the entire night! BANG and this young man here, André Virgo, both OG members of Strong Style Wrestling and the Tres Comas Club, ready to do battle! This match was made official more than 2 months ago before the hiatus, and I can’t believe it’s finally here! André Virgo clearly has the admiration of the crowd here, but after what BANG did to Jaydayne Pendragon and Vanessa Santiago to win the Junior Heavyweight Championship, he will not be an easy foe to beat, so Virgo better not let the love get to his head. Stephens: I don’t think he really has a choice! (“Triggered” by contRoVersy hits to roaring boos from the crowd. BANG’s music continues to play but Mark Anthony Montana comes out instead, holding the SSW Junior Heavyweight Championship over his shoulder.) Wilson: What exactly is happening here? (Montana enters the ring and holds the title while he and André Virgo stare down. The ring announcer looks confused and turns to Montana for answers, but Montana and Virgo continue to stare each other down.) Ring Announcer: Introducing first, from Motown, weighing in at 230 pounds, representing the Tres Comas Club… THE STOLEN BREATH!!!!... (André Virgo quickly grabs the microphone out of the announcer’s hand and looks around the crowd before beginning to speak) Virgo/Crowd: ANDRÉ!.... VIR!.... GO! (Virgo hands the mic back to the announcer as the crowd pops for him.) Ring Announcer: And his opponent… from -- (Mark Montana stops the Ring Announcer and takes the microphone from him. Virgo starts asking Montana what the hell is going on, but Montana looks down at the SSW Junior Heavyweight Championship and takes it off of his shoulder before giving it to André Virgo. Virgo looks at the title suspiciously but takes it from Montana and holds it in his hands.) Montana: Answers will come later André Virgo… For now, that title is yours. And as for the Tres Comas Club… I leave them to you. Wilson: WHAT?!!!

(Montana drops the microphone and leaves the ring, walking to the back while André Virgo and the crowd look on in stunned silence. Virgo looks down at the SSW Junior Heavyweight Championship with a conflicted look on his face, before holding it up high to a huge pop from the crowd.) Wilson: WHAT JUST HAPPENED?! Stephens: I only saw what you did… But it looks like Mark Montana is ducking out of Strong Style Wrestling! More importantly, where the hell is BANG? Is André Virgo actually going to lead the Tres Comas Club now? It does look like he’s the new Junior Heavyweight Champion! Wilson: Is this a trap for André Virgo? BANG wanted that match against André more than anyone, I don’t see why he’d just up and leave like that, let alone relinquishing the Championship he JUST won! He didn’t even get to defend it! We’ll just have to wait until Brian Daniels gives us more answers but for now… Congratulations to André Virgo? Stephens: Given that he’s the new SSW Junior Heavyweight Champion, I guess so! Hopefully we get an explanation for these events soon! (The camera pans to André Virgo standing on the barricade holding up the SSW Junior Heavyweight Championship while the crowd cheers his name. He jumps off the barricade and starts to take his leave from arena, flaunting the SSW Junior Heavyweight Championship, as he shoves it right into the camera while making his exit.)

(The cameras pan across the entire Saitama Super Arena with the audience still shocked at how the new SSW Junior Heavyweight Champion was crowned before the titantrons display the next contest to take place with the match graphic.)

(The music fades out with the ring announcer entering back into the ring as the match graphic with Saul Omen and Captain Strong Style is displayed throughout all the titantrons.)

Ring Announcer: The following contest is set for one fall!!! ('"Chōzetsu☆Dynamic!" performed by Kazuya Yoshii hits to a huge pop from the crowd as Captain Strong Style jumps out through the curtain and runs down to the ring, high-fiving fans on the way down.) Ring Announcer: Introducing first, from Tokyo, Japan, weighing in at 232 pounds… CAAAAAAAPPPTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNN STRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNGGGGGGGGGG SSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! Wilson: Wow that Ring Announcer sure does like this guy! Stephens: Who doesn’t, Daniel?! This is CAPTAIN. FOOKIN. STRONG STYLE! This man is the HEART and SOUL of SSW! Without him, we are nothing! What a way to kick off SSW Exodus, with the LIFELINE of SSW himself! Wilson: YEAH YOU HAMMER THAT BRANDING IN! STRONG STYLE WRESTLING!!!! SSW! SSW! SSW! SSW! (“Death March” by Motionless In White hits to a downpour of boos as Saul Omen walks down to the ring through an ominous dimmed glow and fog.) Ring Announcer: And his opponent, from Stockholm, Sweden, weighing in at 192 pounds… THE SOUL COLLECTOR… SHINIGAMI... SAUL OMEN!!!!! Stephens: In the two appearances this young assailant for the Phantom Troupe has made, he has been nothing short of dominant, ruthless, cold, and downright evil. This man hurts people in the name of his God, Death, and he finds the utmost pleasure in every victim he takes down… Let’s just hope Captain Strong Style is able to get past him. (DING! DING! DING!) Wilson: HERE WE GO! SAUL AND CAPTAIN STRONG STYLE LOCK RIGHT UP!!!... SAUL WITH THE QUICK ADVANTAGE ROTATING AROUND CAPTAIN STRONG STYLE, PUTTING HIM IN A WAISTLOCK FROM BEHIND… GOING FOR THAT QUICK GERMAN SUPLEX --- Stephens: NO!!!! Ring Announcer: HERE IS YOUR WINNER BY WAY OF PINFALL…. SAUL OMEN!!!!! Mark Stephens: Another win for Saul Omen… And another victory in the name of Death. The elite level of men and women this man is aligned with in the Phantom Troupe coupled with what he just did to Captain Strong Style here… We might be looking at one of the most intimidating forces in SSW in Saul Omen. (Saul Omen looks down at Captain Strong Style, satisfied with the fact that he lies unconscious on the ground, before walking to the back as he starts speaking about Phantom Troupe and Too Sweeting the camera.)
