We have the champions of CM Nas and Saul Omen defending their titles against Shoot Nation’s Shinati Mizarki and Steven Cassidy! Both teams are bound to be going to war tonight and quite frankly, this is just going to serve as a favor towards The One True Pairing in their quest to be the first-ever two-time SSW Freebird Tag Team Champions!
Mark Stephens: Don’t be so down about it because this match is going to be amazing to watch, Daniel! However, what about some of these Best In The World Series matches like our main event? Both men undefeated in their own right will face off for the right to be known as the leader in their block with The Apparition competing against Scott Oasis!
Daniel Wilson: BOB DE JAPON REPRESENT! Daniel Wilson: THE GOLDEN GOD DOES IT ONCE AGAIN! CASSIUS CORLEONE WALKS OUT WITH ANOTHER VICTORY ATTACHED TO HIS NAME AND CONTINUES TO MAKE HIS CLIMB TOWARDS BEING THE TOP MAN OF B BLOCK! Before his big match at Event Horizon for the SSW Freebird Tag Team Championship, he has made it clear that his chase for the SSW Puroresu Heavyweight Championship and Wrestle Spirit hasn’t ceased yet!
Mark Stephens: Yeah, but think about this from the perspective of April Song. She has a major match with Aria Jaxon at Event Horizon and after a defeat like this to bring a screeching halt to her momentum, will she be able to come back and get her head right for the big match? I don’t know, but we shall see what will come of it then!
(The camera pans backstage to show a television set backstage watching the arena to see April Song picking herself up with a look of disappointment on her face. Suddenly, the sound of clapping is heard when it is revealed to be coming from The Queen of Strong Style Wrestling, Aria Jaxon, as she has a sinister smile left upon her face while she laughs.)
Aria Jaxon: This is exactly what I have been wanting to see! April Song has been left with a defeat against someone like Cassius Corleone, a tag team wrestler that believes that he should be fighting for championship gold of the prestige of the SSW Puroresu Heavyweight Championship, but what he and everyone should know is that the crown doesn’t belong to anyone else but me. It doesn’t belong to the next hottest talent in Steven Cassidy that has been making a name for himself, it’s not that impudent leader in Kai Stevens, it won’t be Shoot Nation scum like The Apparition or Jaydayne Pendragon, and it won’t be the king of the weebs like Cassius Corleone. That SSW Puroresu Heavyweight Championship is MY CROWN and I shall return to my throne when I remind the world why I’m The Best In The World and headline Wrestle Spirit to another victory for The Phantom Troupe!
However, what’s coming up isn’t about The Best In The World and the SSW Puroresu Heavyweight Championship. It’s about the respect and the career that I have established for myself as a legacy that stands at stake against… this.
(Aria Jaxon points towards the television screen to once again show April Song making a defeated exit from the arena before she once again smiles at this sight.)
Aria Jaxon: This woman used to be a threat, someone that I could say was at my heels and could have been the one that the torch might have been passed down to once upon a time, but now that fairy tale is nothing but the fantasy that it is. April Song used to be a submission warrior in that ring, won gold throughout the entire world to be known as one of the best, and what has become of her? She has become 1-4 in this Best In The World Series and has been left in the background of Strong Style Wrestling. This match at Event Horizon is supposed to be punishment for me and what I did to Masanori Kawada a few weeks back, but let’s be honest. This is going to be a slaughter and I will bring a humiliation unto her at Event Horizon that shall force her not only in exile from Japan, but in an early retirement from the embarrassment that she’ll have to suffer. She will learn that this is my kingdom and that no one is about to usurp The Queen from her throne. So April Song, you can try to do whatever you want in the match that we will have at Event Horizon, but it will be nothing more than bitter disappointment when everything is said and done. I have nothing more to say because at the end of the day, my words will just be seen as words, but my actions… they will be deafening.

(The lights go down. After a few second a spotlight illuminates the figure of Christopher Sabertooth with his back turned to the arena. Pyros go off either side of the stage as “Charisma” by W.A.S.P. hits the speakers. Sabertooth turns and makes his way down the ramp. There is a spring in his step but also a viciousness in his eye which the young boys note as they keep their distance.)

Mark Stephens: Havoc comes out for his last match before finally getting his hands on the man who assaulted him the very first night he came down to an SSW ring. I am really excited about the grudge match but there are more than a few reasons to be excited tonight as Vanessa Santiago makes her awaited return to the ring to face Sabertooth. She was a big figure in the initial days of SSW so make no mistake, this is going to be a big test.
(“Run That” by Snow Tha Product hits the speakers as Vanessa Santiago struts out onto the stage to a warm reception from the crowd. She flexes to show how in shape she is before making her way down to the ring to join Sabertooth.)

Daniel Wilson: If Sabertooth thought he had a an easy tune up before Event Horizon then there is una problema maldita with that. Saya Takada: Ladies and gentlemen, your winner by way of pinfall… CHRISTOPHER SABERTOOTH!!!
Wilson: Well he doesn’t seem to be gaining many fans but I don’t know why not. SABERTOOTH HAS BEEN RAMPANT! It’s another dominant victory enroute to his grudge match against Matthew at Event Horizon and I know who has my money on.
Stephens: Well it is hard to argue after a performance like this. It looks like Jaywalker has made a sound investment in this Christopher Sabertooth but the big test is right around the corner next week. I can’t wait to see what those two really have.

Miles Taylor: Everyone has been wondering what the new face of The Phantom Troupe has to say about the opportunity that has been afforded to him to potentially be the next challenger for the SSW Junior Heavyweight Championship. Let me make it real simple for you… it’s about time that something has come my way. You look at the list of names that I have left in my wake and you will know that I’m one of the few individuals that can stand here and say that I have defeated men that have been considered for that championship over me and that this fatal four-way at Event Horizon is nothing more than a mere formality at this point. I have the greatest faction in this company behind my back, I have the proven skills to put anyone that stands in my path to claiming that championship gold down in the process, and there’s no one that has been able to get the better of me here in Strong Style Wrestling. The chips are all in my court and there’s no one else that has the greatest advantage, but does that confirm that this match will be mine entirely? No. There’s obviously more that will be involved into this match and there will be a chance where I won’t even be involved in the decision to determine who has the right to challenge for the SSW Junior Heavyweight Championship, but I’m more than confident that there’s no one more worthy than me to be considered to challenge for that championship. Damien Walker, Penance, The Apparition, they can all make this claim that they should be the ones to walk out of here with the opportunity of a lifetime, but me? I say why even bother with this match and raise my hand when I walk into Event Horizon as the new number one contender to the SSW Junior Heavyweight Championship. However, I have realistic expectations and know that one person in there… they will either break or be broken.

Mark Stephens: Yeah and I know that there’s no reason to write this man off, but Belle Kingsley has a world championship opportunity on the line and I know that Falke has a chance to face a talent like Masanori Kawada at Event Horizon, but this is where he could get a massive win to turn the tide in his chances to earn an opportunity like that for himself!

He struts down the ramp as he peers down from his shades towards the crowd as he stops at the bottom of the ramp. He raises his hands high in the air for the crowd to shout his name in unison before he rolls into the ring and makes his way to Saya Takada, grabbing her hand and kissing it, before he walks away from her with the microphone in his hand.)

The destination on this international journey through Japan that will finally bring an end to this Tres Comas Club uprising that has been going on since I have been crowned the SSW Junior Heavyweight Champion. Event Horizon is definitely going to be quite the destination and turning point for this company, but it will not be for the reasons that you want to believe. After this match for that championship that you have miraculously clung onto for over five months, Tres Comas Club will finally be able to gain some stability and peace within its ranks. There will be no need to fight among ourselves for the right to be known as the SSW Junior Heavyweight Champion as the crown of leadership between us. There will be no need to give the world more reason to see us as the most unstable faction of Strong Style Wrestling due to the wedges that have been put between us. You’re not the only man that has fought some of the greatest names in the business AND CAME OUT ON TOP! I have proved myself time and time again to be the best champion that Tres Comas Club could even HOPE to have in their corner, but at every turn this faction has denied me with each and every challenger presented to me. Only a handful of people have truly accepted me as their leader, but you? GREED? Racer? Sabertooth? BANG? All of you have tried to knock me off of this pedestal as champion and what happened? You failed. Every single last one of you failed and I became known as the leader of this faction and kept it afloat and at Event Horizon, history will repeat itself and the crown will remain on my shoulder for good. Jaywalker escorts Miltiades out of the ring with Virgo spending some time to get the crowd to rally behind him as the challenger looks back with a seething glare before he makes his way backstage and out of the arena. André takes one more moment to soak in the crowd adulation before he exits through the middle rope, holding the SSW Junior Heavyweight Championship high for everyone to see, before he makes his exit himself.)

It’s probably fair to say at this point that he isn’t down to prove himself Best In The World but he has an opportunity here nonetheless. A good performance against the Puroresu Heavyweight Champion could help him save some face and move forward with some momentum if he can pull it off.

He takes a moment to soak in the atmosphere before making his way down to the ring. )

Daniel Wilson: That’s a big if. Sure Jaydayne isn’t doing much better on only one unconvincing victory thus far but he’s had the tougher road so far and he IS still the SSW Puroresu Heavyweight Champ. He strangely isn’t looking as strong as the Champ he beat to get to this position but that means he has a lot to prove and “The Man Without Fear” wouldn’t be wrong to fear Pendragon tonight.

Stephens: Both men come together for a collar and elbow tie in the centre of the ring. After a brief struggle with little ground exchanged, Walker looks to losseS interest in grappling. He slips an arm free AND CATCHES JAYDAYNE WITH A STRAIGHT RIGHT! WALKER STARTS TO WAIL ON PENDRAGON WITH A WILD FLURRY OF FOREARMS AND CLOSED FISTED STRIKES WHICH FORCES HIM BACK AGAINST THE ROPES! JAYDAYNE IS TRYING TO COVER UP BUT HE JUST HAS NOWHERE TO GO AND DAMIEN IS CONNECTING WITH TOO MUCH REGULARITY FOR COMFORT! Walker whips Pendragon across the ring. Wait to catch him with the discus elbow but Jaydayne ducks it… BICYCLE KICK HIT ON THE REBOUND BY JAYDAYNE PENDRAGON!!!

Stephens: Walker drops to a knee from the force of that liver shot. BUT JAYDAYNE ISN’T DONE! HE UNLOADS WITH SOME BRUTAL SHOOT KICKS TO THE BODY AS HE SEEMS DETERMINED TO CHOP DAMIEN WALKER DOWN TO SIZE! WALKER IS JUST HAVING ALL THE STUFFING KICKED OUT OF HIM HERE! Jay lets up on the assault and Walker drops straight down to his hands and knees, breathing heavily as he tries to recover. Jaydayne races off the ropes… ISE! NO! KAMI!!! (‘Just Another Hero’ by Yuki Hayashi plays Jaydayne Pendragon rises holding his fist high to a polite Japanese applause from the crowd. He slides out of the ring, retrieving his Puroresu Heavyweight Championship from a young boy before proudly marching back up the ramp leaving a dazed Damien Walker struggling to find his bearings in the ring.)
Stephens: It’s another tough loss for Damien Walker but if there is a positive to take away from this match it is that Jaydayne appears to be firing on all cylinders again ahead of his important title defense against Belle Kingsley next week at Event Horizon. Does he retain?
Wilson: He’s champ for a reason. Mainly because he caught Aria Jaxon on a bad day but also because he is a solid competitor on his day and you can bet your bottom dollar that he’s going to put up a stern defence. Will Belle take the step up and prove too hot to handle? I dunno about that but I concede she’ll probably show more fight in her than Damien did tonight. Sheesh is anything going to stop the rot there?
(The camera pans away from the arena to a pre-recorded segment with Masanori Kawada earlier in the day doing a press conference for the upcoming event for Strong Style Wrestling, Event Horizon. He starts to take pictures with the fans, sign autographs for them, and even holds a speech for the fans in hopes of seeing them come out for the event. Finally, he is stopped by some cameras that are with Strong Style Wrestling to give his message about the match to come against Phantom Troupe member Falke Halstenberg and his issues with the new leader, Aria Jaxon.)
Masanori Kawada: My rivalry with The Phantom Troupe has been a deep-seated one since the day of birth with Strong Style Wrestling. It began when John Doe and Khmaoch Sangkat decided that they wanted to cost me the SSW Heritage Championship on our very first show and after that moment, the bitter hatred that I have had in my heart for that group of villains has burned brighter with every crime that they have thrown into the fire. Opportunities that they have cost me and my Shoot Nation brothers, injuries that we have sustained at their hands, and everything that they have done that has left this company to be seen with distaste because of their actions. I believed that the nightmare of The Phantom Troupe would have dissolved and ended with the expulsion of their leader, John Doe, but when you cut the head of one snake… two more grow. Now, I have two snakes that need to be taken care of in this business with Falke Halstenberg standing in my path at Event Horizon and now, we have a new leader that has decided to target me like her predecessor in Aria Jaxon. Both of these vile individuals will be met by the swift fist of justice by my hand and the only thing that they can do in light of this is… BRACE THEMSELVES!

Daniel Wilson: App has surprised us. He’s top of the block with a big win over the Puroresu Heavyweight Champion, Jaydayne Pendragon, already under his belt. Now he has the opportunity to extend that lead by taking out second place Scott Oasis. Can he pull it off though? I’m not so sure because to be perfectly frank, App has a habit of choking in these high pressure situations. He’s gotten close to success before only to drop the ball when he really needs to perform and I can see that being the case tonight against a pissed off Scott Oasis.

Stephens: AND HE’S DONE IT! 4 out of 4 with just three matches to go and just seems to be going right for App right now. After some very solid performances of late he finds himself seriously competing on three fronts for SSW Jr Heavyweight Championship contendership at Event Horizon, likely for the Puroresu Heavyweight Championship in the future after taking out Jaydayne a couple of weeks ago. And, of course, with each passing week he edges closer and closer to crowning himself as the very Best In The World!
Wilson: Listen Stephens, form is temporary but class is permanent. Despite the tough result tonight, Scott Oasis will be back with a Vengeance while, mark my words, this Apparition bandwagon is going to run out of steam sooner rather than later. He has gotten greedy. He has bitten off more than he can chew. And I wouldn’t put it passed a Miles Taylor or one of the other Jr Heavyweight hopefuls to pour a rain on App’s parade next week. Scenes from the war that was put on display on this night flash on the camera quickly with moments of the match between those two to display the intense rivalry and desire to be champion between them highlighted until the very end where Jaydayne claimed the championship for himself.)

Nas uses the veteran experience of his to spin out for the side-headlock but Steven uses this to his advantage to push him into the ropes REBOUNDING HIM ACROSS THE RING WITH A TOSS TO RELEASE HIM FROM THE HEADLOCK! Nas bounces off the ropes into a leapfrog from Cassidy that keeps him running the ropes ONLY TO RETURN INTO AN ARM DRAG FROM CASSIDY THAT SENDS NAS FLIPPING FLAT ON HIS BACK ON THE CANVAS!
